Selective Nerve Root Blocks (SNRBs) are a procedure used to diagnose and treat nerve-related pain, typically caused by conditions like herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or nerve compression. The pain might radiate from your spine to areas like your arms or legs. During this procedure, a small amount of steroid medication and a local anesthetic is injected around a specific nerve root—the area where a nerve exits the spine. The goal is to reduce inflammation and block pain signals from that particular nerve, providing relief.
